Wow..didnt realize thatI havent updated blog for a long time. Hehe. Somehow never felt like updating blogs back home even though I didnt have much to do. Oh wait. Actually I have quite a bit to do. Haha..

Holidays have not been too eventful, but at least I got more things done than usual. Managed to meet up with the people I wanted to meet, ate the things I wanted to eat (Excapade!! :P ), and sort of completed the work that I need to finish, got the results that is better than I expect, and stepped out of the Asian continent for the first time. :)

Got back 3 days ago and spent my first day back in the Central Library completing my draft with information which i forgot to take note of from the old Phoenixes. After that..there's IHG, where I watched half of the handball match and the tennis matches. Sadly to say we went to shiok sendiri only..except for the handball match which we won la. Then there was JC class reunion last nite at JP.

Today is the last day of holidays!! Sienz. Sem 2 officially starts tmr but I don't have any lectures tmr so it will start on Tuesday for me :). Unless there is Critical Thinking Class tmr. Bluek.

Okay, I have been holding back for quite some time oledi but I guess I can't resist it anymore so I shall tell the story of how I kena bullied by the infamous CORS system while bidding for the 3 modules I wanted.

Story 1: EG1413
Initially the system says there are 4 vacancies for new students (I am still a new student) per class for the Critical Thinking and Writing module which all engineering students will have to take, and are encouraged to take in the first year. There were 30+ classes and about half of it suits my timetable but since I was trying to make a free day for myself I have limited choices. In the end because I wasnt willing to spend 1000 points to get the class I want, I had to sacrifice my free day and bid for another class which falls on my initially "free" days. Apparently a few other ppl have the same idea as me too.

When the bidding results came out..I was so happy i got the class for 300 points..such a "cheap" price. Until I found out that the quota for new students per class has suddenly been increased from 4 to 11 per class. Since ppl chickened out from the classes with high bidding points, there are less bidders than the quota and so those who bid got it for a mere 1 point. Which made me kind of pissed off that night because I sacrificed my free days, 299 points for nothing, and I end up having some time slots which I dun like, because they decided to change the quota without notcie after bidding ends.

Story 2: SSA2215
Ok..this one was just pure unlucky so I wasnt really pissed off. Threw in 200 points for it because I need to save up for my Forensic GEM next sem and in the end, the winning bid was 200 points but I lost out because of the first come first serve rule when there is a tie in the winning bid. I ended up taking a Chinese History and Lit GEM (taught in English though)..sigh..and it doesnt look very easy :(

I want to start shopping for CNY soon!! Buy new clothes from the top to the bottom hehe. CNY goodies! Whee!!
