Have been feeling extra motivated after CNY break..duno why. Maybe because deep inside I know holidays are over for real (before CNY i was like thinking "Yay! Holidays in two weeks!"). Sigh. Time for the real push to begin.
HOWEVER..first two weeks of complete slacking have left me in quite a mess too. Lagging in tutorials just after the first week of tutorials is over? Oh no. And I was going on about achieving higher CAP. 5 modules this semester, and all of the sudden I realize I don't like any of them. Sigh. Am I doomed? CTW is too much like GP, Maths is suddenly too complicated, Statics is too mind-boggling, Chinese Heritage is so dry, and Physics is just...so Physics. Sigh. At least I only have two midterms to look forward to this semester. The bad news is, I have research projects now and a quiz on Feb 14th (not that I have any plans on that day, but...). And some luck saw me getting drawn into a group that have to work on a Literature paper instead of a History one for the Chinese Heritage module. Double sigh.. To make things worse, the latest news is that Joint Degree to Melbourne only accepts 2 students. A CAP like mine sure won't help I guess. Unless I start praying that nobody will apply. Hahaha...no la...unless I start working hard lo. Went for an interview to be a student ambassador for NUS in their upcoming Open House..mainly because it sounds quite interesting and fun..and here's the catch: there is a salary. Muahaha. I wouldn't mind some extra income :). But I have a feeling that I won't make it though. Sigh. And more motivated to get fitter especially after CNY! Quite sure I put on weight. I kind of surprised other ppl (and myself too, for the record) when I agreed and actually woke up at 6am to go jogging with a friend. Currently..its twice a week (initially it was 5) but I think I can actually improve on that. Whee!! And oh oh!! I forgot to say sth!! KahSiong was here for CNY..so last weekend we finally managed to meet up. With the Brunei-Malaysian gang in NUS (well, at least those I know). Went for Stella's "Open Room" first and finished most of her CNY goodies. Oops. Played "big two" (dai di) and then "Red Attack", both of which I cannot stop winning. Muahahaha. Amilyn accused me of wearing red underwear lol. But actually the main agenda of the day was to go Clarke Quay for a ride, since KahSiong and Amilyn wanted to try out. Have u guessed which ride it is? ![]() I sort of didnt mind going on the ride before I reached there. Probably coz I forgot how scary it seems. I was like "see first la" (but actually heart says okay). Then saw a few live shows and freaked out a bit. But went on it in the end. Hahaha...seriously not bad, reli, it seems more scary from outside. But a bit not worth it la..costs a whopping $30. Felt kind of good after that, like Alicia said it's just January and I have done something big. (Okay, she was just trying to practise her encouragement skills..probably not reli sth big :P). Gotta go do tutorials now. :P |
