Starting time was determined by the fact that we needed to check out before 11am. Host left a review for us thanking us for keeping the place clean even before we checked out =.=

Left luggage in the storage room outside our unit, turns out in the end there wasn't communication breakdown and we could have stored it there prior to check in oh well. Though it's unlocked and people could have accessed it but I guess Japan is a pretty safe place and the odds of it is probably not high.

Agenda was supposed to be Nishiki Market and Daimaru but we did Daimaru the other day already (and guys weren't impressed with it). So it's Nishiki Market only, tentatively. 

It didn't disappoint! Was impressed with the variety. Literally ate from one end of the street to the other. It's not called the kitchen of Kyoto for nothing. Though once again we gradually dispersed into groups as we moved down the street.

Found Stel and Val and while waiting for others (and Stel needing toilet) we ducked into a random pancake cafe. Pancakes looked really good but we didn't try them and that is now my biggest regret because as it turns out, Gram Cafe is one of the best when it comes to Japanese pancakes. 

Collected the rest and headed off to Kyoto station for late lunch at this tofu fine dining restaurant called Kyotofu. Blows my mind how many dishes you can make with tofu although in Kevin's words (and I fully agree hahaha), "all taste the same".

Aim is to leave Kyoto by 4pm and it's about time so leisurely made our way back to Fushimi Inari, collected our luggage, and hopped on a regular train to Osaka. 

So that's it for Kyoto! May sound biased but out of the three cities we visited, this is my favorite. Picture perfect, and looking to come back some day during Sakura season.
