NZ 2015: Light on bum

Took over the wheels for this leg to Te Anau.
The route takes us through Cadrona Valley Road which is pretty scenic actually. Also has lots of road kills. Somehow whenever I drive we encounter lots of road kills. =.=
The only picture I had of Cadrona Valley
Oh and the route is also impossibly windy. We were going downhill so had to be really slow.
Queenstown is also on the way but we were only going there a couple of days later so skipped it and headed straight towards Te Anau. Reached in good time, still have some time to kill before our glow worm cruise which we only booked the night prior hahaha.
Accommodation for the two nights is at Te Anau Top 10 Holiday Park! Honestly I think it has the best facilities for a decent price among all our accommodations throughout the two weeks. Top 10 is a chain but this is the only branch we went. Booked a cabin room with a bunk bed + queen bed. The only down side is that the kitchen doesn't provide any cooking utensils and you would have to rent from the reception which we defiantly decided not to and improvised instead.
Cabin exterior with our own parking space. I remember there was once I drove back and side parked and our neighbour who was chilling outside his room applauded LOL
Interior. I got the queen bed heh.
Comes with everything you need!
The TV lounge
An outdoor BBQ area. At one point we thought we wanted to try to grill sth but gave up in the end, too much work with too limited utensils
Chilled in our room for a bit before heading out to the cruise. Too chillax until we almost missed it and had to run all the way from our parking lot to the boarding point -.- Half an hour cruise to the glow worm caves, after which we were led into the cave and took a boat ride inside the cave to see the worms (which totally reminds me of Harry Potter, the part when he and Dumbledore took a boat ride to reach the fake horcrux lol)
Our cruise!
Really windy and cold (it was drizzling) duno how the other two tahan.
Rain passed quick enough and voila! Rainbow!
Glow worms were an amazing sight actually. Had to be really silent and sit in the dark, much like looking at stars at night. And of course no photos allowed.
Learnt from a documentary after the boat ride that they were not the most peaceful and mild creatures though :/ Light is to attract preys and they were also pretty violent towards each other hahaha.
Of course we didnt buy this but managed to snap a picture when staff went around to sell to other people. Sigh Asians.
Waiting for our cruise back to main (is)land.
Soup took forever to cook in the microwave coz it was a rather huge bowl. Pizza took even longer to cook in the oven. =.=
Had some fun in the game room after dinner. Oh and the toilets were amazing hahaha. Large, spacious, reminds me of maybe gym toilets coz there is plenty of space inside each shower cubicle to hang stuff and even a bench. And with radio playing over speakers hahaha.
Splitting this post into two parts even though we spent two nights at Te Anau. Coz there wasn't much to do at Te Anau and the main attraction is actually Milford Sound which we were going the next day on a day trip. So yep. That's about all for Te Anau.
