The City That Never Sleeps

Korea 2015: Annyeong Val

posted : Sunday, March 15, 2015
Still managed to wake up relatively early considering how tired we were and how late we slept. Val being the earliest as she packed her bags and was ready to leave by the time we woke up :o

Dropped by Angel-in-us on our way to Seoul station for brunch.

Ran a bit late and was panicking a bit coz we got lost inside Seoul Station (sure reminds me of 台北车站) with the multiple metro lines passing through the station. Managed to find the AREX counters like 10 minutes before the train departs and so it was a very rushed farewell for Val. Haiz..ppalli ppalli indeed. Kinda emo-ed a bit at the station after she left...lamenting the fact that she had to leave so soon :(

Outside Seoul Station

Split into two groups after that. GoPro ran out of storage space thanks to our very liberal use hahaha so KH thought of visiting some IT malls to buy a hard disk. Whilst the gals decided to stay at Seoul station for shopping at Lotte Department Store and Lotte Mart. So KH and I headed to Yongsan Electronics Market, a complex comprising of about 20 malls all selling IT stuff. We went to the one adjoining the metro station, think it was IPark mall or sth, which reminds me of Sim Lim Sq actually with dubious sellers.

Was supposed to meet the gals back at Seoul station at I think 4pm or sth and we ended up being an hour late lolol. On top of that, the gals had no wifi connection so were uncontactable via whatsapp..and our roaming calls went unanswered. Stumbled on LotteMart by chance and actually bumped into the gals who actually completely forgot about our appointment =.= Guilt erased ahahah.

Lotte Mart had this concept of allowing shoppers to pack their purchases in boxes (previously used for shipment of products) so by the time we found the gals, they had alr packed two boxes of various snacks and groceries (think Korean rice and makgeolli) ahahaha. We had dinner (kind of) in the cooked food section (gimbap was really good) inside Lotte Mart before round two of grocery shopping begins. Watching KH sweep snacks off the shelves without a care for the world ahahahahah *oh this looks good, buy*

Talk about staff who knows Chinese. San was ogling over this cute sales staff (selling Jeju Orange chocolates) and making all sorts of comments (with the person close enough to hear her) and later heard him speaking Chinese LOLOL. Paiseh to the max ahahaha.

We ended up packing two more boxes of groceries and cabbed back with four boxes :o

Packing our own groceries heh.

o.O

Decided to have our own makeshift dinner at home so KH and I went downstairs to tapao fried chicken heh. Coupled with instant noodles, strawberries, yoghurt and moscato (from Lotte Mart hahah coz it was cheap) and raw lettuce (from convenience store downstairs in an attempt to make things healthier lol).

3 straight days of fried chicken, thought this was the best!

End of Day 4! Talk about free and easy :)
