The City That Never Sleeps

Week 2

Probably blogging in order to update ppl abt my life once a week is a good idea.

Week 2 is the last week in which I can enjoy tutorial-less weeks...not that I have many of them to begin with. The weekly ones are, unfortunately, both on Mondays. Was doing the Hydraulics tutorial and almost puked blood doing it. :S

At the moment, I am still able to stop myself from falling asleep in lectures..though I feel sleepy in most of them and sometimes I daydream. Hydraulics is getting scarier, unable to understand why infrastructure lecturer is saying those things during lecture, attempting to read JC statistics notes to refresh my memory on stats, felt concrete mixing is an interesting topic, and did not even yawn during forensic lectures, probably coz lecturer was saying "the fail rate for this module is quite high..."

I haven't been as productive as I wanted to this week..a lot of free time but I didnt get much work done..not even the "persuading people to join xxx (insert hall activity name here)" part. Either I talk to people and didnt follow up, or I din talk to them at all. For instance: was supposed to talk to hall tech head and discuss abt the possibility of having them join concert tech as well. Attempt 1: failed because his roomie is the current JCRC President and he told me to hunt for my own people instead. Attempt 2: wait, was there even one?? Had a chance to talk but didnt in the end.

Conclusion: Am quite screwed up. I think I fail as a head.

Cross my fingers and hope they included concert as one of the their 6 choices. Then at least I can salvage things.

Had bubble tea launch, concert launch, AGM and points forum back-to-back on Wednesday, where I single-handedly set up the sound systems. Yeah man. Though it wasnt very tidy, had some problems with a wireless mic, and I almost died after the whole thing. The revamped points system (shall not give too much details) doesnt seem too bad, though I am 120% sure the points will be inflated anyway - not the JCRC's fault though, rather, its because everybody joins more activities than required simply due to lack of members in almost every commitee.

I am actually wondering if 4 hall activities will be enough. At this rate, probably no. :S

Sigh, wish things were as simple as "do 3 activities and guarantee stay!".
