The City That Never Sleeps

Grad Trip: 台中哈密瓜时尚旅馆!

Accommodation and itinerary in Taichung all comes under Stel...and her rationale was to find one as near to the railway station as possible so that we wouldnt need to drag our luggage around when travelling to and from the railway station. A good idea, really. We were so so relieved when we stepped out of the railway station to see the hotel's signboard waving at us! A hotel, I presume like Taipei, because they probably aren't a lot of minsu in built-up cities like these.

Anyway, turns out to be not very family friendly hotel hahaha. See pictures later to get what I mean. Comes with on-demand adult TV channels by the way.

Checked into our room, first comment from Val and echoed by everybody else..."Why does it seem that our accommodation gets worse and worse de?" LOL

Room had a musty smell. And its really kind of small, not much space to maneuver. Two double beds even though description says it can fit 5 people. And looks kind of old. Stel and KH both felt cheated...then KH decided to request for a change of room. Hahah I would have never though of it...people like me would have guai guai take the room and blame it on bad luck. Anyway the result was surprisingly positive - we were told that there aren't any rooms left for the day, but we can change rooms the next day. No choice, settle for that lor.

The hotel!

First room was on 7th Floor. Didnt have pictures of the first room coz "we are going to change room anyway"

This was right outside our room lol. 情趣用品 vending machine. Condoms provided in the room as well.

Came back from 新社 the next day and proceeded to change rooms...think it's an improvement. Though the same problem with bed space and..space in general.

The room. Laid mattress protectors on the floor as a makeshift 5th bed space.

Toilet.

Oh this cracked us up so badly.

Provided with breakfast by the way...but the restaurant was rather run down. They serve Taiwanese style porridge with side dishes, which wasnt very appealing to me. The toaster wasnt working properly too. Fail max sigh. But we weren't complaining much la.

Breakfast coupons!

Porridge side dishes.

The result.

Toasted bread.

So conclusion - very affordable place. Damage is about NT$5800 for 3 nights, which makes it the cheapest accommodation place during our time in Taiwan. I suppose since we weren't in the room most of the time..the conditions doesnt matter much to us, but really gets a bit squeezy especially when we were packing hahah.
