Week 5

Haha yet another Sunday night post.
So last week I (quote from Sam) began on my 23rd revolution around the Sun...as usual it has been a quiet affair, perhaps more so this year coz despite this year being my 6th year in Sg, this is the first year I am not at home on my birthday. Hall chums celebrated for me while I was typing out last week's post..then on the actual day I was of course working...after work decided that birthdays are perfect excuses to splurge so I went shopping and even plucked up the courage to dine alone o.O. I mean, emo tots are inevitable la but I guess it didnt bother me too much. I still made myself pretty happy lol. I think the most surprising one was actually an international SMS all the way from Toronto? Haha appreciate that :) FYP topics came out during Week 4 too...gosh final year already! Duno whether its chill or thrill that is running down my spine sometimes when i thought about it. On one hand you cant wait to leave school, but then again...there is another 30 years or working life...and so many other things. Sigh. *cue reminiscing good old times* Anyway back to FYP...tot of choosing transportation related projects...one of it even sound like something i am helping out with in my company right now..and I am looking to maybe go into the transportation field..though from what I heard from the senior engineer in my company not many companies are involved in the field..maybe a bit hard? See how la..considering transportation is the thing that made me say "I don't mind CE" three years back when I was offered the course...maybe it is best to stick with it.. Funny how you can tell how popular a prof is judging by the number of people who selected their projects as one of the choices..and speaking of the system..how I wish the system is something like RH's room balloting system...like the project I am eyeing seemed quite popular and I really duno where I stand at the moment...each student can rank up to 20 choices..and the selection is based on your CAP...always tot it is weird to ask other ppl though I have to say I am curious lol. So yea..if the system can let you know that some guy with higher CAP chose the project then u can just give up and go hunt for another one mah...or even negotiate LOL. It doesnt have to mean your CAP is visible to the whole world mah. Duno, sounds quite logical and feasible to me..reduces uncertainty. 5 weeks of internship over and starting to feel that time flies..only 7 weeks left yeah. I wonder when I really start working, I can curb the habit of occasionally nodding off during work sigh. The worst thing is sleeping hours at night doesnt affect it (i.e i still get sleepy when i dun get enough sleep OR i get enough sleep). A cup of coffee to start off the day doesnt work either :S. So unless I keep myself really busy otherwise I am likely to nod off for half a minute or so. So far havent got caught yet (or so I thought, maybe there is already an email circulating among the supervisors like what happened to the PRC EE interns on the other floor, well they openly slept with their heads resting on the table). Well at least I get to know the other CE interns a bit better? Sometimes I wonder why I dun/cant interact with my coursemates more during term time..lousy socializing skills haiz. On a random note...contemplating changing blog address again....because you found out about it, and along with it, a little lie i made up for the most stupidest reason....but then again..maybe its time for you to find out more about me...after all, we did lose around 5 years worth of bonding time....but try not to blabber about it to you-know-who k? |
