The City That Never Sleeps

Week 4!

posted : Monday, June 06, 2011
One thing I learned about the week - unlike most people who have Monday blues, I feel recharged on Mondays. Weekends does wonders to me. Then I find myself feeling increasingly sleepy at work as the week goes by. Especially the critical hours from 10-11.30am...

Company has two levels of office, one at 3F and another at 39F...and the one at 3F is kind of congested...and as the admin manager explained to me very frankly...being an intern means i have to make way for the permanent staff whenever there is a need..and so in 4 weeks I have moved thrice...my latest seat is in the admin area...and while I dun reli hear anymore engineering terms (walers, struts, etc etc) I hear more gossip LOL.

This week I actually have a bit more work to do than last week..though there is still a fair bit of "saikang" work...like filing...though admittedly I know what is going on throughout a project while looking through all those emails..something positive to take away from a boring task...

And more importantly...the week started with release of results on Monday...was uber nervous on the bus on my way to work..then the sms came and I stared at my phone for half a minute before opening the message..whew...the two S/U-able mods (or so I thought) are both above C, and the other 4 core mods are all okay!! First time scoring above B+ for a structural mod! (Prolly coz some of the smartest ones are all on SEP this sem). And did well for the TE too, thank god didnt get killed by the projects. Bumped into my project group mate, the CMI one during lunchtime the next day and he very happily go "I passed!!", that explains the kind of effort he has been putting in...

In the end I cant S/U my forensic mod. Emailed in my application to drop the minor, got it approved but can only officially drop it during CORS in Aug. And the module was taken as a minor mod and examined as a minor mod so I cant S/U it. Sigh. But then it doesnt do much to help my CAP anyway...cant go up to first class anymore anyway..so just let it go la...overall satisfied with it given the effort I put in, though sometimes you cant help but compare it with others and feeling a little small....

New week ahead! My favourite day of the year to open the week! :))
