It is a short trip of 4 days (including one day of travelling) but had some stories of the year (well, particularly since I had been so bored).

Arrived on Wednesday night and didnt do much. On Thursday, ran some errands for my dad first, bought some stuff, got forced to donate money to some organization at Orchard Road (well, half-forced) and went on to have buffet lunch with Billy, Ryan, Junyi, Zachary as well and MH and EH, who decided to go for a-la-carte instead for buffet. We went to the Vibe @ Pan Pacific Hotel, famous for its Brazillian-style buffet. There's a cheese bar, salad bar, cooked food section which is rather Chinese-styled, and of course the main attraction of the roasted/BBQ-ed meat section. Selections include chicken, fish, beef, pineapple coated with cinnamon, 3 types of pork (char siew which doesnt tast like the normal char siew, ribs and I-can't-remember-the-third-one), lamb and so on. Also an absolutely delicious chocolate fondue station and a dessert shelf. And free flow of bread and soup as appetizers. All for $41.00 with GST and blah blah. Well, very worth it, if you are a total carnivore and enjoy nothing else other than meat, and won't get tired of it after a while. For me, it's the experience that counts, and I enjoyed the atmosphere.

The main highlight of Friday is the College Day. Arrived in college at 2.30pm, and the next 3 hours were spent inside the AVA stoning and watching how other people dress up and waiting for the photo taking session and catching up with classmates which I haven met for some time. The ceremony began at 5.30pm with a whole lot of formal but boring programs, like speeches, reports and hymms. It was not after an hour before the actual prize presentation began with awards for the current students and finally us, the graduants. A plaque, a cheque and a certificate. Hmm, the cheque will be enough to cover my air tickets this time round..=P..although the amount was reportedly much less than previous years, possibly because more students getting awards?

Anyway, the college is celebrating 30th anniversary so this year's performance includes some from alumni, such as performance by current teachers who were ex-Saints, and they wrote and sang a song entitled " I would rather be in college" (something along those lines). o__O. And they sang off-tune as well.

After the whole ceremony we had a dinner reception, which turned out to be a reunion dinner with my civics tutor and civics class. Chatted about our near future with the teachers and saying our goodbyes to them and the juniors. We were among the last people to leave the college.

The night is still young though. Friday night marks the last night the Novena Apartment people are staying there and since MH will be leaving for London soon so we celebrated by accompanying him the whole night. Played card games for the first half of the night, then spent the next half emo-ing. Not to mention trying to make a depressed guy feel better, and finally ending with breakfast at Macs.

Checked into McNair after leaving the apartment, thank goodness it's a non-Pereira week so I am saved from talking to her and withstanding her new way of treating us (since we are no longer her dear scholars). Not much change there, apart from yet another few new security guards ("few" is definitely an understatement) and yet another new hostel manager. Spent the whole day out shopping and only catching two hours of sleep in between, thus it is a miracle that I manage to survive. o__O

The journey back home the next day was uneventful as usual, except that I almost missed the check-in time at Senai Airport. Back home now, at least for now.

I will be gone in another 11 days.

Sigh...
