Don't get me wrong, I haven't chickened out of Raffles Hall and decided to move to PGPR. After a slightly unsuccessful fried rice dinner which turned out to be too soggy, Jess, Ryan and I went for a walk in an attempt to explore a small part of NUS. We decided to go to the MPSH to check out on the variety of CCAs, then take a shuttle bus to PGPR. ![]() Our source of information was the long CCA notice boards in there. However, it didnt help me much in the sense that it wasnt complete as it hosted mainly notice boards from sports CCAs and martial arts such as Kendo, Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Judo, Silat, Akido etc. Jess was very interested in Kendo though. Then took a Internal Shuttle Bus A2 to PGPR terminal. Apparently the distance seems shorter between Science Faculty and PGPR if you take shuttle bus A2 if you want to return to PGP after lectures in Science Fac compared to A1, and vice versa for the opposite route. (Important info for Science Fac people!). As for Engin Fac people, sorry, the shuttle bus ride is long no matter which bus you take. So we alighted at the PGPR terminal which is opposite PGPR itself. First impression: Whoa. So big. So tall. And so isolated. If you wanted to be anti-social then this is the place to be, since it is far from everywhere. Possibly that is why it has everything also. Well, at least the basic facilities. ![]() The Plaza (something along that line) which is the part with lots of light. ![]() A view of some of the blocks of PGPR. ![]() One of the blocks of R5 (Residence 5) in PGPR. ![]() Ryan says Kryss is staying here. Is it? ![]() So that we know what facilities are there in a block. ![]() The kitchen in one of the floors in one of the blocks in one of the residences in PGPR in NUS in... Point is, it looks so much cleaner then the ones at RH. ![]() This place is called Super Snack, hidden next to the 24 hour food court on PGPR. Got pool table and (i am not sure) some machines to make waffles? ![]() Nanyang Supermarket. It has quite a lot of basic daily necessities, including $1 novels. We did mini-shopping there before leaving. Prices are slightly more expensive, but you can save transport fees. ![]() The 24 hour food court. So-so variety of food, and prices are similar to that of a normal food court. But it is more exp the the one at YIH. ![]() The tennis courts and basketball courts. ![]() A restaurant inside PGPR. I forgot its name. Sorry, my memory not very good these days. So Kryss, this is ur new home. We are not allowed up the rooms of course, so this is the best we can do as your "eyes" and "ears". And sorry for the bad picture quality as well. My phone camera not good bah. :P Labels: NUS |
