The City That Never Sleeps

Day 2

The day began in an unproductive manner. After having breakfast with the QET people I returned to my room and started Facebook-ing though I am aware that I haven't unpacked yet. It was only after Junyi came then only I started unpacking. (Maybe I chose a wrong time to do it, haha)

But anyway 7 of us met up after their QET and took a long bus ride to SAJC, so long that most of us were half-dead due to hunger by the time we reach there. College was quite empty as EiHong and Jess remarked since all the J1s were attending their Student Council Commendation @ St. Andrew's Cathedral. We attend to our official purpose of visiting our ex-school first: collecting the School Graduation Certificate (SGC).

How the famous SGC which we all cursed quite a bit while writing CCA Achievments looked like. (Yes, we wrote part of it.)

Page 1 of the SGC
Subsequent pages consists of academic (meaning A Levels la) achievements, CCA achievements (which we painstakingly wrote ourselves) and Personal Qualities (which was supposed to be done by the Civics Tutor but we ended up writing it as well).

Then had lunch in the school cafe. The Western Food stall auntie still remembers us! Haha, possibly because we are one of her regular customers especially on Tuesdays, the "Fried Food Day".

Headed to Toa Payoh for some stationery shopping and banking services. Ended up walking a row of shops in which we came across M1, SingTel and Starhub shops so we spent some time inquiring about postpaid plans for students and finally ended with another long bus ride back to the hall.
Subways for dinner, then explored the Yusof Ishak House a bit and found out where Office of Student Affairs and study lounges were located. Highlight of the night was a "Float Welcome Supper" hosted by the Float Committee, where we found out we are the very few Malaysians currently residing in the hall (possibly others went back home temporarily) and confirmed that there are a whole lot of PRCs staying here. So-called interacted with some of the seniors and listened to their explanation of Raffles Hall's float design this year and their plea for more helpers. =P. Nah, too tired to help tonight, maybe tomorrow. =)

Too tired to help but still blogging at 2am..wth? lol...
