The City That Never Sleeps

GCE A Levels..

I realized I never said anything about the exams which has been screwing up my life for the past two years. Haha...
A short review of the papers (though I hate to be reminded of it)

Maths: Overall quite well done I should say. Most agreed that Paper 1 is slightly challenging but doable while Paper 2 is "a piece of cake" after the most basic, least complex statistics questions came out.

Chemistry: Paper 3 is very different from old papers (afterall, the syllabus changed), and I just managed to finish it on time, but paid a price for rushing to finish it, committing some stupid mistakes. Paper 2 was labelled as the "life-saver" for many, while Paper 1, though I finish it with 20minutes to spare, a feat I never achieve in 2 years, it was rather tricky, come to think of it.

Physics: The most creative papers we have ever seen in our lives. Paper 3 was our first paper of the year and it pretty much scared off a lot of people. Paper 2 requires very good timing skills (I managed to finish it just in time too, also a feat that i never achieved) and Paper 1, totally brand new questions without a single repeated question, unlike Chem which had some, and horribly tricky questions. Overall...creative questions, slightly tricky but manageable Paper 3, scary Paper 2 which featured a whole out-of-syllabus question (said to be from H3 syllabus) and a horrible Paper 1.

Economics: Not-so-tricky paper but didnt finish as usual, and commit some errors due to exam pressure, didnt read question properly. Essay on an unexpected topic also quite uncertain. Overall...dun reli wan to think about it, but who cares about Econs anyway.

General Paper: Rather unconventional Paper 1, this is one paper which is totally subjective to the examiner. Essay in my opinion was rather okay, but remember i thought so during Prelims and it didnt turn out well. Paper 2 was surprisingly manageable, but again due to the subjective nature of the subject, GP grades are pretty uncertain too.

Finally able to relieve myself of exam stress...
