The City That Never Sleeps

End of 1st half

Just like soccer matches have two halves…so do SAJC Preliminary Exams. The 1st half of the Prelims, which witnessed a test of knowledge on all 5 papers, is over…and I decided to give myself a 2 or 3 day break before I continue…wonder how the rest are doing back in Brunei?

A bit of evaluation…GP wasn’t too bad…at least I felt that wrote a decent essay. But I dunno what the examiners will think about it…and Paper 2, I didn’t finish the Application Question as usual. Mine was sort of hanging there, with visible attempts of finishing it but did not. So…no idea of what grades I will get…I pray that it is a C or D at least…so that my forecast can be boosted up by one grade to something useful.

Economics was a partial disaster. As usual…didn’t finish the essay, and quite a horrible attempt on it too. Case Study was all right until the second half of the second case study…and from that point onwards to the essay was a disaster…couldn’t imagine what would happen to it too.

Chemistry Paper 3 was quite okay…Finished the paper on time, miss out on some questions but shouldn’t be too bad, should be good enough for an A. Physics Paper 3, well I finished the whole paper for the first time in my life! As in I didn’t leave a single question blank, though I couldn’t do a few questions. I write in whatever came into my mind…and still have time to check through, though I have quite a number of uncertain answers. Maths Paper 1 was by far the paper I felt most confident in, I was quite sure I didn’t make dumb calculation mistakes, I can do all except one or two questions.

This 3 subjects will continue in the first week after September hols..hope I can get a better result this time…for the H2 subjects I mean. And come to think of it, after Prelims we only had like 1 and a half months before A Levels starts, another month for it to end, and another two and a half weeks and I will be on my way back to Brunei. I bought my air tickets today, and that means around 3 months left in Singapore.

And what will happen to my life after A Levels? I think I will want to work, and learn driving. These are my two aims. But exactly where and how, I had no idea. I might want to consider taking up the work of being a relief teacher in SAJC…well my only fears are those students who started asking weird questions and I cant answer them =S.

And what will happen after that? Where will I end up? Those are the key questions I will want to answer. They cannot be delayed anymore.

ASEAN Night is on this Tuesday…still cant decide whether I should go or not…the dresscode is “smart casual” and I simply dun noe, or dun hav anything nice to wear. Dunno whether I should go or not..should be as boring as last year, but a lot of people are going…and I am the sort of go-with-the-flow type of person…hmmm 50-50 probability.

Should go sleep now…waking up early tomorrow to grab seats in National Library =p
