The City That Never Sleeps

In the midst of Prelims preparations

In the midst of busy preparing for Prelims...I am actually able to find time to blog...does that mean that I am not preparing hard for it? I should think not. I studied, I think my concept of what is going on in various subjects have never been better and I desperately want to get my best results this time round.

Have been watching live scores from World Badminton Championships currently held in KL and disappointingly, though at home ground with massive number of supporters and despite sending in their strongest teams, Malaysia did not exactly do very well. Only one men's doubles pair was left after Friday, the other players all exit form the tournament, some with their heads high because they lost to an opponent worthy of beating them, some simply left the audience fuming with anger because they played like a primary school kid, surrendering their game without a fight. On the whole, one word was good enough to describe this particular episode of World Championships: SURPRISE! They are a lot of surprise packages this year, and a lot of big names fell at theirs hands (or rather their badminton rackets), particularly at the now well known 'Court of Death' Court No. 4, where these big shots met their end.

One more week to Prelims.
