A year has ended

I am currently back in Singapore, McNair Lodge in Singapore to be exact, after one and a half month of holidays back home.
Nothing has changed in the hostel. Some faces that has appeared familiar to us were no longer there, but replaced by a new group of scholars, highly ambitious, studious group i will say. Looking at them reminds me of myself one year ago, and perhaps some of them would realise what lies in front of them not long into their JC1 life, deflate a bit, but hopefully not defeated, and persevere on. My holidays have not been too eventful as I said. Staying at home most of the time, except during evenings when I sometimes went out to the beach. Not for picnics, of course, but I had private driving lessons with my mum. (Private because I am not legal yet) Met up with some friends, attended juniors Graduation Ceremony not only as a senior, but as a guest emcee as well. Homework left unfinished. A trip to Thailand, before I came back to Singapore. First few days here, I finished unpacking my belongings into my new room, watched Death Note 2, went out to Vivo City, and basically just sit down doing nothing much execpt waiting for th e New Year to arrive. I will be going out for countdown party tonight too, in Esplanade, hopefully I can bring out the juniors amd get to know them better. |
