Well...the holidays just flew by without notice...I am currently back in the deserted hostel.
Most of the scholars are gone or not back yet...only about 15 -20 people around...including my room mate Kevin, who is back because of debate training... Well..did I enjoy my holidays? Yes I did, especially the time in Brunei with my friends! And the special date of 06-06-06...Hehe... Then last Wednesday went back to CHMS to get my 'O' Level Certificate wif Val..met up wif my ex-teachers..chat a bit and left.. Then last Friday went out with a big group of my friends... "I met Chan Yee Peng who was working part time, then Julius, then Susan, Valerie, Stella, Pik Wen, Kah Hou and Jiaxiang, who were all wearing black colored shirts. So there were 6 persons wearing black walking together and two wearing blue. Wonder what people would think about us. Weird? Haha… They met us and gave both of us a friendly hug and went to Swenson’s and we further met ChiaRen, EngAik, LingSiang, BeeTing and Jiaxiang's hon, GeokYin. We also met ChunHong, Qiu Jie and Jun Chen at Swenson’s too. We ordered a large earthquake and enjoyed the delicacies. We also took some pictures together and talked about stuffs and gossiped about people. That’s what we do! After Swenson’s we went to Ahan Thai to eat, again. I ordered myself Cashew Fish. Man it was good! Shock eh~ We went back to The Mall again to meet SiengYen. Before meeting her, we did a really stupid thing in the elevator or lift? Anyway, we went inside and pressed UB. Stella wanted to buy orange at Utama Grand and who was lazy to walk and suggested to take the lift. We reached UB floor and they went outside. Somehow, they went back to the lift saying that wrong floor. Wrong? I was wondering how could it be wrong? Utama’s at UB kan? Somehow the lift went to LB. Wtf? Nobody pressed the LB button but it went to that floor. So we waited for the door the open and close and I pressed UB. But they said they wanted to go the G. I was starting to get a bit confused. There was a kid with us in that lift. I could tell that he was a bit annoyed by us because he wanted to go to the 3rd floor. So, we waited for the door to open and close and I pressed the button ‘G’. Jiaxiang was asking them why did they want to go to G floor since that was the floor we entered the lift. We were all laughing like hell and the kid was shaking his head. Oh my god, we got out of the lift and took the long walk while laughing. How stupid of us. After the grocery shopping we went for the Computer Fair. We saw Ren walking by himself reading the flyers and shouted by his name. He turned and walked towards us. I didn’t know he was still at the building as the others had left. Forgot what happened as I was talking with the others and Ren and Kah Hou took off to see MP3 players (Creative). So I continued talking with the others and both of them returned. Asking about Jiaxiang's opinion on Creative MP3s. Jiaxiang replied them maybe Jiaxiang would rather buy iPod. The Creative MP3 is very cheap, 6GB for only BND$300+ while for iPod, 1GB BND$268. Big difference! He was asking if he could try on the gadget ‘cause he really wanted to buy a MP3 player as his was rosak. So Jiaxiang walked to the counter and asked for the MP3 and if he could try it. Blah blah blah, the guy returned with the gadget. Whoa, first impression, thick! He didn’t expect it would be that thick. At least iPod Video was thin. So he played along with the gadget, listening to the sound quality and blah blah blah. " [Copied and modified from jiaxiang88.wordpress.com] :p..Thanks Jiaxiang!!! U dun mind rite!! Then there is my cousin's wedding on Sunday..for this purpose I had to leave Brunei on the 10th...or else I would have stayed until the end of holidays. A rather traditional wedding ceremony...in the morning the tea ceremony, at night the dinner blah...in the afternoon we are all rather free..but since the adults were all not free, there is no one to drive me to the nearest LRT station, thus I am unable to go out to Midvalley Megamall to meet up with some of my Malaysian friends from Singapore.. And Taiwan's 17th 金曲奖...wanted to watch live..but only managed to watch the first half which is rather boring...saw 戴佩妮won 最佳作曲人 though..Then the ppl all wanted to watch the England-Paraguay match (which was even boring because apart of the 4th minute goal, there is really not much action). Then at half time saw a performance in which 侯佩岑made a surprise performance, then at the end of the match just in time to see the 最佳国语女演唱人奖...蔡健雅got it...hmm...quite disappointing because i hoped either 戴佩妮 or 梁静茹 will get it...and 王力宏 got 最佳国语男演唱人奖..still remember last year he got up to stage by mistake when the winner was not him...and the good news is 周杰伦 neither 入围nor got a prize!! Hahaha!!!!! Oh yeah..by the way World Cup started!! But I don't have much chance to watch...so far the only full match I watched is the England-Paraguay match..watched more than half of the opening match (Germany-Costa Rica) and the second half of Korea-Togo match..Hope I am able to watch the finals...but too bad, it is on the eve of one of my Common Tests!!! PHYSICS Common Test, to be exact!! Then after the wedding dinner I straight away went back to Malacca, and spent the next two days there..yesterday I took a bus from Malacca all the way down to Singapore...I think it is incredible that I managed to keep my eyes open the whole journey! 3 1/2 hours later I reached the Checkpoint at JB, got down the bus, walked pass the checkpoint (They don't even bother to check the passport) then waited for the bus to go pass the checkpoint, board the bus and crossed the Causeway, where there is a super long traffic jam...waited for about 4o minutes before finally reaching Woodlands Checkpoint of Singapore, where I actually forgot to show the officer my passport (I kept on thinking that I only need to show them the embarkation/disembarkation card) and the female officer asked me 'Never travel before ah??'..:S..makes me embarassed...she could have just asked me for the passport mah. Then at the other side of the checkpoint the bus driver of the bus asked us to board the bus of another company since there is only 6 passengers left (The rest alighted in JB)...so instead of going to Hougang I reached Lavender Street..which is very much nearer to the hostel. The stupid wireless is not working well again...I had been planning to download songs here because it is much slower to download in Brunei and more costly...because the wireless here is free :p then the stupid wireless is not working well...can go to some websites...some websites like hotmail and gmail cannot access...then MSN last night can sign in, tonight cannot oledi...then download songs pun tak boleh....geramnya. I went out to Bugis today to buy something, bringing my laptop along because the National Library is nearby so I went there for free wireless...finally manage to check my email but not downloading because the wireless there is not as fast as the hostel wireless(if functioning well)...and I forgot to bring my laptop charger so I can't sit there for too long. I think I gained weight when I was in Brunei..so I decided to go jogging every morning...treat it as a training for NAPFA lo...practise chin-ups, sit ups, etc. And I skipped dinner tonite..and strangely enough I don't feel hungry at all even up to now...the laptop's clock says 23 18 hours now... Going to sleep now...tomorrow I am getting up early for my jog... *World Cup update: Ecuador 3-0 Costa Rica...Coming up next: England-Trinidad & Tobago |
